B turns 7! ~ {Personal Work} ~ Waco Child Photographer

My daughter turned 7 years old on November 2nd, is it me or does that sound like a big girl?! Sniff! Each year I do a birthday shoot with my girl to commemorate her turning a year older, this year we incorporated her birthday cowgirl boots into her shoot and I loved how it turned out! There are a couple photos that scream "B" to me as she is right now and I want to remember her just this way as she ushers in her 7th year of life. Seven...wow. I love you baby girl, so thankful I get to be your mommy. xo IMG_8398x.jpgwebIMG_8402xweb

Outstanding in the Field {Personal} ~ Waco Photographer in Austin, TX

For years now I have been wanting to go to "Outstanding in the Field," so this year for my (early) birthday present, I made it happen! OITF is a culinary experience in the most simple terms. Basically a bus with a couple folks in it drives all over the country and partners with local farmers and chefs to prepare and amazing meal with local, quality ingredients. The locations aren't disclosed until shortly before the event, and you need to buy tickets early b/c they events often sell out. My friend Anna and I drove down to Austin for OITF a couple weeks ago and it was the perfect day...the weather was lovely, the food was outstanding (no pun intended), and the company was great! You seat yourself at an endless table and you get to chat with folks who also care about good food and who are there for a great time too. Anna and I had the pleasure of sitting by Larry -what a treat! Larry was featured on the food network a while back for his "roasted tomatoes." It was so neat to chat with him and hear about his experience in the limelight and about his farm and life. Truly the day could not have been more fantastic, a perfect birthday gift that left me wanting for more! This was definitely a "bucket list" item for me, but I'm secretly hoping I get to do it again at some point. If you want to learn more about OITF go to outstandinginthefield.com and read up and snatch a ticket if you can, you won't be disappointed! xo IMG_1972x.jpgweb

My B, Part 1 ~ Waco Child Photographer

I'm still figuring out my way around Waco, but what I really love is that every time I turn a corner I see more and more possibilities. I sooo look forward to shooting in this town in the upcoming year(s), endless possibilities! I will be doing some Waco mini sessions at some point coming up, if you're interested, keep checking back on the ol' blog for details! For now, here is my sweet pea traipsing around Waco with her mama. xo

Because I have too many favorites, I'm turning this blog post into two. Come back tomorrow to see My B, Part 2!

Happy Mother's Day+Sneak Peek!

I had the distinct pleasure of photographing an amazing wedding yesterday, I still really can't believe it! Here is a peek of what's to come!! I also wanted to wish a very Happy Mother's Day to my mom and to Kemi, and to every mom out there. Being a mom is hard work but also the most rewarding job in the world, so,  to all you moms out there, enjoy your day, hug your babies a little tighter, and eat some yummy food (that hopefully you aren't preparing!). xo
