Just a day at home with 2 little boys ~ Waco Family Photographer ~ Travel Session/ Gig Harbor, WA

I've known Lindsay for most of my life, and she is just as sweet as she is beautiful! This is the second time this sweet family has had me out to their lovely home to photograph them, and this time, little Charlie was part of the gang! Linds and Chris, is it cool with you and if keep my fingers crossed for a #3? :)

Color or black and white? I can't decide!

7 Ops ~Waco Family Photographer (Travel ~ Olympia, Washington)

I've talked many times on here about how I have a love/hate relationship with facebook. What I love is getting in touch with dear friends who I haven't seen in years! When I mentioned on facebook that I would be in Washington shooting for a couple days Jill contacted me and said she wanted a session. FUN! There was a time when I spent more time at Jill's house than my own, so it was so fun to re-connect with such a dear friend. The afternoon was filled with lots of laughter and memories, and between you and me, I hope I get to do it again sometime. :) xo

Margaret + Joe = Married! ~Waco Wedding Photographer (Travel ~ Tacoma, Washington)

What better to post on Valentine's Day then a wedding?! On February 4th one of my oldest and dearest friend's got married on the most beautiful, sunny Washington day! I have been to many weddings in my day and of course every bride is beautiful, but it must be said, my friend Margaret was absolutely s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g. As you can see her dress was utter perfection and she just glowed all day long! Marge, I am beyond thrilled for you and Joe and the new life you are starting together. I love you both dearly and wish you all the joy, happiness, and love this world has to offer.  xoxo

A day in the life of the Hill family ~ Waco Children/Family Photographer ~ (Travel Session, Seattle, WA)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I LOVE photographing clients in their homes! I love the personal touch and just the coziness of doing every day life. I've also said this before, I love photographing families year after year and seeing how the kids grow, how family dynamics change with age and time, etc.. (This was my second time photographing this beautiful family). One more thing that I love, as I was leaving to get in my car Nicolle said to me "see you again next year!" Thank you for the fun, cozy, summer evening, Hills, already looking forward to next time. xo

In Love: Becca and Jacob ~ Seattle Engagement Photographer

While I was in the northwest over Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing my cousin Jacob and his fiancee' Becca's engagement photos! These two were troopers, it was a CHILLY day in Seattle and yet they put on a happy face and we had a blast running around Seattle trying not to freeze. A game of giant chess, frolicking downtown, and ending with cupcakes is my idea of a lovely afternoon. Thanks you two, it was lots of fun, and Becca, can't wait to have you as part of the family! xo

Sneak Peek: Engagement!

Happy New Year! I know I've taken quite a blog break but I'm back to work and excited to share some shoots with you! I've got some editing to finish before I can do a full blog post but in the mean time here is a sneak peak at a fun engagement shoot I did while in Seattle last week. More to come! xo

In Love ~ Port Orchard Children and Family Photographer

I'm not a wedding photographer, but when Janet contacted me and asked me to photograph her vow renewal to celebrate her 10th wedding anniversary to her one true love, J.R., how could I say no?! It was a lovely afternoon of celebrating 10 years of marriage and God's faithfulness in their lives. Janet and J.R. had their four children stand up with them and join in the celebration, it was really really touching. I'm a big fan of celebrating special dates that are significant and meaningful and was so glad I was able to capture their love for one another, as well as their whole family. Thank you for asking me to be the one to document your love, Gatlins, it was truly a pleasure and your children are pure delights! xo

Allyson+Kyle= Engaged! ~ Centrailia Engagement Photography

I think I've mentioned before that I have a love/hate relationship with facebook. I can't stand the time wastage that often results on my end but I love the re-connections with dear friends. Allyson was one of my favorite people while I was in high school, we hung out all the time, early morning orchestra practices, double dated for prom, baked brownies when it was snowing and we had nowhere else to go, etc... I was so excited to find her on fb and pick up where our friendship left off. When I saw her it was like no time had passed, love that! I was eager to meet her fiancee' and beyond thrilled to photograph their engagements! Allyson, you are beautiful inside and out and haven't changed a bit! I adore you and am so happy you and Kyle have found each other!! Kyle, it was truly a pleasure to meet you, I wish you and Al all the goodness that marriage brings! xo

Allyson and Kyle are having a destination wedding so wanted a "pack your bags and head for the snow" vibe, it was sooo fun!

Happy Mother's Day+Sneak Peek!

I had the distinct pleasure of photographing an amazing wedding yesterday, I still really can't believe it! Here is a peek of what's to come!! I also wanted to wish a very Happy Mother's Day to my mom and to Kemi, and to every mom out there. Being a mom is hard work but also the most rewarding job in the world, so,  to all you moms out there, enjoy your day, hug your babies a little tighter, and eat some yummy food (that hopefully you aren't preparing!). xo
