Erin and Will were technically already married before their wedding day, but they wanted a small, intimate wedding at home with their families and close friends to commemorate their commitment to one another and I was so honored to be the one to capture their special day. Thanks so much for choosing me to tell your story, you two, such a lovely day! xo
It was really fun to be a part of Bonnie and Greg's special day! Surrounded by a few close friends and family these two love birds promised each other forever and it was the sweetest!! Thanks so much for letting me tell your story, you two. xo
Audrae and Travis tied the knot on a beautiful 400 acre high fenced game ranch on a beautiful sunny fall day. It was such an honor to be there capturing their love as family and friends surrounded them to share in their special day. Here is a peek into their lovely country wedding in central Texas, all the best you two! xo
Whew! That was a big blog lull! I've been busy moving from California back to Texas and editing this wedding! I'm so happy to be back home and it was super fun to hit the ground running with this lovely wedding. Jessica and Clayton had a beautiful (HOT) day filled with friends and family and I was so honored to be a part. All the best you two as you start your new life together! xo
If you've been following my blog for a while then you've already heard me talk about how my husband and I have led a small group of Baylor college students in our home each week for the past 4 years. This experience has been a highlight of my life and an absolute honor and privilege to walk along side my 20ish "kids" as they have done their college experience. Josh has been around for the long haul, and when he started dating Jonna, she came too. I instantly adored her and loved watching she and Josh fall in love. When they asked me to shoot their wedding I was so humbled, what.a.treat. Their day was nothing short of lovely in every way and I'm so so thankful to have been a part. Jonna and Josh, thank you for doing life with our family and for letting us share in your joy as you two start your new life together, we love you and wish you all the best the world has to offer. xo
After years of dating Jenny and Angel said their "I dos" in front of family and friends on a beautiful June day. It was a lovely thing to witness and I'm so thankful to be able to tell their story through my lens. Jenny and Angel, thank you for trusting me to capture your big day, it was truly and honor and I wish you all the best as you start your life together! xo
I'll end with a photo of these two being surrounded by their loved ones during their first dance...
I've already gushed about my love for Casey and Ben when I posted their engagement session earlier this year so I'll not ramble too much here but.....man alive I love these two! Their day was personal and heartfelt and just the most perfect reflection of the two of them. Casey and Ben are both from the small Texas town of Center and are high school sweethearts, they were together 7 years when their big day arrived on June 7th ~ a long time coming to be sure! It was an honor not only to document their day but just to be there surrounded by their friends and family as they committed their lives to each other and serving the Lord together, a really neat thing to witness. Casey and Ben, I am so excited for you two and the journey you are starting, thank you for letting us share in your joy ~ it was a beautiful start to what I know will be a beautiful adventure. xo Casey and Ben both got ready at their respective grandparent's house (or as southerners say "memaw and papaw's" house). I loved all the charm and detail, so much history there.
I love when a bride and groom opt for a first look so there is more time for photos, this first look really says it all, no?
This church and pastor held a lot of history for these two, and I think the whole town of Center came out to witness their love ~
I think any reception with a taco truck is a big ol' WIN!
A sweet favor...
Casey and Ben had yard games set up outside for all to enjoy and the two love birds took each other on in a friendly game of ping pong...
Maybe "friendly" wasn't the right word to describe this match ;)
Then it was back inside for toasts, dancing, and merriment...
We had a few minutes for some more photos and I'm so glad we did, these are my favorites of the day ~
And then it was time for Mr. & Mrs. Nelson to head to their honeymoon and start their life together as husband and wife! And of course, they lived happily ever after.
I love the southern tradition of brides having photo sessions before their big day! It's so fun to see brides looking so beautiful and to actually have time with a bride and capture some beautiful portraits. Alyssa got married last weekend in Colorado, I'm sure she looked just as beautiful as she did on this day! Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon together. xo
Allyson contacted me over a year before her wedding and asked if I would photograph it, I was truly honored! I had never met her before but found out that we go to the same church! It was the most beautiful January day for these two to join their lives together, and I was honored to be a part. Allyson and Logan, thank you for trusting me to capture your day, and I hope Iceland was all that you wanted it to be! All the best as you two start your journey together! xo
Brian has been a dear friend of my husband's and mine for years, when he said he was dating a girl named Lindsay, we could hear the excitement in his voice. A while later when he called and told us he was going to marry her, we knew she was the one and couldn't wait to meet her! Finally this summer we all went out to dinner and I loved her from the get go! Shooting this wedding was an absolute honor and priviledge, the love in the air was palpable and I'm so thankful to have been a part. Music is a huge part of Lindsay's life (in fact she and Brian met at Starbucks when she asked Brian what he was listening to!), so being the cool girl she is, she surprised Brian by singing a song she wrote for him at the reception (her brother helped play guitar -so much talent in one family!). Hands down one of the coolest moments I've ever been witnessed in my life. Lindsay and Brian, thank you for letting me be a part of your day, and for trusting me to tell your story, such an honor. xo
I had to include a couple pics of Lindsay singing to Brian, best.moment.ever.!!
I honestly don't know where to start. I feel like I could write paragraph after paragraph about Maggie and Byron, and how amazing they are, and it wouldn't even scratch the surface. As I've mentioned before, my husband and I lead a group of college students, and Byron has been one of "ours" for years. Maggie goes to our church and works with the kiddos and I've gotten to know her over time as my daughter thinks she hung the moon (and she kinda did:). If two people were ever meant to be, its these two. When Byron said he took Maggie out on a date I came home and told my husband they would get married...and they did...and I got to photograph it! :) Maggie and Byron, I hope you two know how much Adam and I (and B!) love you and how proud we are of you both. You two were amazing apart but will be even more so together, thanks for sharing your lives with us. xo
*Had to share these 2, famous "Bridesmaids" cover shot and Byron's guys being...well, guys.
You know its going to be a great wedding day when the bride and groom have their first look at the famous gum wall in Seattle! I can't say enough great things about these two and am so thankful to call them friends. These two planned an amazing day and I'm so thankful to have been a part of it! Kristin and Matt, thank you for being you and for trusting me to capture your day and tell your story, such an honor. All the best for years and years to come. xo
The day Alex and Wilder were getting married a storm was coming to Waco. I woke up that day and checked the weather, it was supposed to thunder/lightening/pour rain pretty much all day long. Their wedding was in the evening and it was going to be outside...I'm not gonna lie, I was freaking out a TAD. I prayed all.day.long. I kept saying something to the effect of "Lord, if you could just keep the rain away until their ceremony is over that would be really, really appreciated." Alex and Wilder tied the knot in a small, intimate ceremony, outside, in the evening, just like they planned. Their family gathered around them as they said the vows they wrote to one another and supported them with lots and lots of love. Alex and Wilder, thank you for letting me be a part of your day, it was truly an honor. xo
(And wouldn't you know it, the rain/thunder/lightening didn't show up until just as their reception was ending! A blessed day indeed).
What better to post on Valentine's Day then a wedding?! On February 4th one of my oldest and dearest friend's got married on the most beautiful, sunny Washington day! I have been to many weddings in my day and of course every bride is beautiful, but it must be said, my friend Margaret was absolutely s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g. As you can see her dress was utter perfection and she just glowed all day long! Marge, I am beyond thrilled for you and Joe and the new life you are starting together. I love you both dearly and wish you all the joy, happiness, and love this world has to offer. xoxo
The first time I heard from Kristina she contacted me through my website and said "please tell me you do weddings." That instantly made me smile and I was so honored to be chosen to capture she and David's big day! The day started off at David's parents lovely home, and then we headed to downtown Waco where these two said "I do!" Kristina and David, it was a beautiful day, thank you for letting me be a part of it! xo
Much more to come from this lovely wedding!
Mallory and Blake, it was truly an honor to tell your story. xo
